| Our beautiful donated cages from Jungleland Zoo are now up and nearing completion!! This past weekend, an ROTC group from Hudson came out to volunteer. All the bolts were put in the cages, the kids dug down and installed the security wire in the cage bottoms. We still need to install the auto-cleaning pools, add safety wire to the bottom 3 ft of cage and add the decks, swings, feeders, tires and play equipment. Then we will be ready to offer our recovering residents Five star accommodations with a view !! The ROTC group will be back to do more work, but we can still use volunteers to help out. Still needed to finish the project: Rubber mulch, contractors tubs, rolls of small gauge wire and shade cloth. A local nursery has offered a discount on the mulch.....gift certificates to Dale's Nursery, Lowe's and Home Depot would be a great help right now! |
| Donations are our only source of support....we DO NOT receive any funding from city, state or county. The continued kindness and generosity of the public and those who care enough to bring us injured and orphaned creatures from the wild, are what keeps us going. Wild animals have no health insurance and it is up to us to protect them and help them. Won't you remember us in your will, we are 501c3 and any donations are tax exempt, think of us before you throw any used items away, give us a call and see what we need. We can use materials as well as cash donations....old fence, cages, towels, give us a call and see what we can use.......Rehabbers give so much of their time and their lives to make a difference.... WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! |
