SKY HARBOR WILDLIFE REHABILITATION CENTER
HOME PAGE

Our goal at Sky Harbor is the rescue, rehabilitation and hopeful release of
Florida's native and protected wildlife.
Sky Harbor is a non-profit, 501 C 3 organization founded on the basis of making
a difference for wildlife and our environment, as we preserve wildlife and learn
peaceful co existence with wildlife. As required by law to possess or
rehabilitate wildlife, , we are licensed through Florida Fish & Wildlife
Commission and hold a state, Class III, bird & small mammal permit and a federal
license as required for migratory birds.
Educational programs are a large part of our work as we strive to educate the
public about the need to preserve wildlife and living with it in our backyards.
Founded in 1998, Sky Harbor works towards the ultimate goal of rescuing and
caring for injured and orphaned wildlife. It is our only purpose and we are
dedicated. We are a full volunteer facility, with no paid employees, and 100% of
all donations go directly to the wildlife in our care.
We, at Sky Harbor, welcome the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of
wildlife and our environment. We thank all those caring enough to contact us for
assistance with wildlife.
Lynda began her career
caring for parrots. She is
a CAS, certified avian specialist and
founded, "Wind Beneath My
Wings", parrot sitting and
behavior modification service in
1997. This passion for feathered
creatures started her on the path to rescue and
rehabilitation of wild avian species, hawks, owls,
herons, egrets and even an occasional eagle.
Lynda became a state permitted rehabber located in
Tarpon Springs, founded Sky Harbor and added a
federal migratory bird permit to her credentials soon after. Today, Sky Harbor
is located on two acres in peaceful, Pasco County, in Hudson, Florida. Deer,
raccoons and squirrels are also cared for at the center.
Sky Harbor has a large network of permitted rehabbers who care for many
species, other than those we care for here at the center and can refer you to
those people. Please call us for a reference.
